Your files stay on your device

Almost all Filero tools run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, never stored, and never seen by us. Processing happens locally on your device.

Server-side processing

A small number of tools (Merge PDF, Split PDF, Compress PDF, Rotate PDF, Watermark PDF, Add Page Numbers, Protect PDF, Unlock PDF, PDF to Word, PDF to Excel, Word to PDF, Excel to PDF, PowerPoint to PDF) send your file to our processing server hosted on Railway.app. In these cases:

• Files are processed in memory and immediately deleted after the response is sent.
• We do not log, store, or inspect file contents.
• Transfers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS).

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use the site. This collects standard information such as pages visited, browser type, and approximate location. No file content is included. You can opt out using browser extensions such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cookies

We do not set first-party cookies. Third-party services we use — including Google Analytics and Google AdSense — may set their own cookies as described in Google's Privacy Policy. You can control cookie use via the consent banner shown on your first visit, or by adjusting your browser settings at any time.

Advertising

Filero is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to display advertisements based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

• If you accept cookies via our consent banner, Google may show personalised ads tailored to your interests.
• If you decline cookies, we request that Google serve non-personalised ads only.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time via Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

AI tools

The AI features (Summarise, Rewrite Text, Translate, Grammar Check) send your text to Groq's API for processing. Groq's data handling is governed by their own Privacy Policy. We do not store the text you submit.
