How compressing a PDF to 100 KB works

Many online application and job forms only accept documents under 100 KB. Choose your PDF and Filero makes it 100 KB or less, keeping the text sharp and making the images only as small as they need to be.

Scanned documents

A scan is one big picture per page, so it is the hardest kind of PDF to shrink. Scan in black and white or greyscale at a normal resolution if you can, and include only the pages the form asks for.

Certificates and ID documents

For a one or two page document, 100 KB is usually enough to keep it readable. Check the result before you upload it, and zoom in on any small print.

Frequently asked questions

Will the PDF be exactly 100 KB?

It will be 100 KB or just under. Filero tries the best quality first and makes the images smaller step by step until the file fits, so you get the clearest PDF that meets the limit.

What if it cannot get that small?

Some PDFs, such as long scanned documents, cannot fit a very small limit and still be readable. The tool tells you, shows the smallest size it reached, and lets you download that. Splitting the PDF into parts is the usual fix.

Is my PDF kept?

No. Your PDF is uploaded to our server over HTTPS, compressed, and deleted as soon as the result is ready. There is no account and nothing to install.
