How compressing a PDF to 200 KB works

At 200 KB most short documents with a few photos or a scanned page stay clear. Choose your PDF and Filero brings it to 200 KB or less at the best quality that fits.

How it decides

It starts with print quality and steps down only as far as needed, reducing the resolution of images and re-saving them more efficiently. Text is kept as text, so it stays sharp at any size.

More than one document?

If a form wants several documents in one file under 200 KB, merge them first with Merge PDF, then compress the merged file here.

Frequently asked questions

Will the PDF be exactly 200 KB?

It will be 200 KB or just under. Filero tries the best quality first and makes the images smaller step by step until the file fits, so you get the clearest PDF that meets the limit.

What if it cannot get that small?

Some PDFs, such as long scanned documents, cannot fit a very small limit and still be readable. The tool tells you, shows the smallest size it reached, and lets you download that. Splitting the PDF into parts is the usual fix.

Is my PDF kept?

No. Your PDF is uploaded to our server over HTTPS, compressed, and deleted as soon as the result is ready. There is no account and nothing to install.
