How compressing a PDF to 500 KB works

At 500 KB most multi-page documents keep clear images. Choose your PDF and Filero brings it to 500 KB or less at the best quality that fits.

Reports and portfolios

Documents with many photos are often far bigger than they need to be for screen viewing. Compressing to 500 KB usually leaves them looking the same on a phone or laptop.

For printing

If the PDF will be printed, choose a larger limit or the High compression level, so photos keep their detail on paper.

Frequently asked questions

Will the PDF be exactly 500 KB?

It will be 500 KB or just under. Filero tries the best quality first and makes the images smaller step by step until the file fits, so you get the clearest PDF that meets the limit.

What if it cannot get that small?

Some PDFs, such as long scanned documents, cannot fit a very small limit and still be readable. The tool tells you, shows the smallest size it reached, and lets you download that. Splitting the PDF into parts is the usual fix.

Is my PDF kept?

No. Your PDF is uploaded to our server over HTTPS, compressed, and deleted as soon as the result is ready. There is no account and nothing to install.
